FELC Safety Policy

Franklin English Language College (FELC) is committed to providing a safe environment for students and employees. All employees must understand their role in maintaining this environment.

 

Responsibilities of On-site Administrator

 

  • At all times be conscientious of the safety and wellbeing of staff and students, keeping in mind the importance of issues including but not limited to bullying and the spread of communicable diseases
  • Ensure that all employees are informed of and in compliance with their health and safety responsibilities
  • Ensure that the behavior of employees and students is in accordance with school safety policies
  • Contact guardian if students under the age of 19 have not arrived for a scheduled class
  • Provide a clean environment that is free from garbage and health hazards
  • Carry out regular inspection of campus and equipment to ensure that they are free from hazards
  • Know the location of fire extinguishers and first aid kits
  • Respond to concerns raised by employees and students within a reasonable time frame, and ensure that legitimate concerns are addressed in a timely manner
  • Report concerns, including those raised by employees and students, to the Senior Educational Administrator within a reasonable time frame if unable to take measures to address the problem
  • Immediately contact emergency services should an emergency arise

Responsibilities of Instructors

 

  • At all times be conscientious of the safety and wellbeing of students
  • Communicate any concerns involving students or staff to the On-site Administrator within an appropriate time frame
  • Immediately contact emergency services should an emergency arise
